Nordisk ministerråd

I kampanjefilmen «Nordic cooperation on ocean and climate» møter vi unge miljøvernere fra de nordiske landene, og hører hvordan de deler de samme bekymringene og håpene om samarbeid for å forvalte havene for å bekjempe klimaendringer.

Med dette som bakteppe lærer vi hvordan nordisk samarbeid om bærekraftig forvaltning for de nordiske havene allerede pågår, og hvordan det kan spille en viktig rolle for at regionen  oppfyller sine forpliktelser i henhold til Parisavtalen.

De unge miljøvernerne er klare, vi kan bare klare Paris-forpliktelsene hvis vi jobber sammen på tvers av landegrenser, sektorer og generasjoner. Samtidig som Nordisk ministerråd møtes for å undertegne erklæringen om hav og klima i Stockholm, ser det ut til at ungdommene blir tatt på alvor av nordiske beslutningstakere.

Kan klimasamarbeid i Norden tjene som et eksempel for resten av verden?

In the campaign film ‘Nordic cooperation on ocean and climate’, we meet young environmentalists from the Nordic countries and hear how they share the same concerns and hopes of working together to manage the oceans to combat climate change.

Against this backdrop, we learn how Nordic co-operation on sustainable management for the Nordic seas is already underway and how it can play an important role in the region meeting its commitments under the Paris Agreement.

The young environmentalists are clear, we can only fulfil the Paris commitments if we work together across borders, sectors and generations. As the Nordic Council of Ministers meets to sign the declaration on oceans and climate in Stockholm, it seems that young people are being taken seriously by Nordic decision-makers.

Can climate co-operation in the Nordic Region serve as an example to the rest of the world?
